  • The selection of a vice presidential running mate is far more important than just helping the presidential nominee get elected. This person is next in line for the presidency and as such needs to be equally qualified for the office as the nominee.

  • Senator Obama hasn't pandered to voters. Why should he start now by pandering to Clinton supporters by offering her a place on his ticket? Hillary is far too polarizing and would do more harm than good. Many of her own supporters have bailed out.
